Ashbank Cottage

Lovely stone holiday cottage to rent with panoramic views of the Three Peaks and distant Lakes fells. Sleeps 2. Recently refurbished to a high standard and awaiting Tourist grading (expected to be a 4*). Located in quiet hamlet at Ashleys, between Wray and Low Bentham.

Parking for 1 car, bike storage, high chair and travel cot available. Linen and towels provided. Sorry no smoking or pets. CDs, a few DVDs, books and games are provided and a comprehensive selection of leaflets and maps to help you make the most of your stay. Available all year round. Bookings are Friday to Friday for one week. Short breaks are sometimes available at short notice if we have no bookings for the full week..

Ashbank Holiday Cottage

 

Accommodation comprises stunning living room with views over meadows and pond to the distant fells beyond, woodburning stove and comfortable furnishings, TV, DVD, CD and radio; fully fitted kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob and fan oven;

Outside there is a paved terrace with glorious views, garden furniture and a barbecue. The cottage is always warm and cosy with storage heating, warm towels, plenty of hot water and the fire which burns logs or coal. Starter logs, coal and kindling provided.

There are lovely walks from the door or you can be in Bentham in 5 mins, Kirby Lonsdale in 20 mins, Kendal in 30 mins, Lancaster in 30 mins, Windermere in 45 mins.

Charming bedroom with double bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, convector heater; bathroom with shower over bath, shower screen and heated towel rail.

 

It is an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Forest of Bowland or just sit on the terrace at home and enjoy the view.
