Cask Conditioned Ales
The George and Dragon provides well cellared Cask Conditioned Ales.
The two regular cask ales on tap are Everards Beacon Bitter 3.8% ABV and Jennings Bitter 3.5% ABV.

An ale which has won both national and international awards for its uniquely fresh, clean taste and lingering bitter finish. Although delivering a broad palate of varied flavours, the beer has exceptional delicacy and finesse with a very pleasing overall balance between malt and hops. Regarded by its many followers as the ultimate traditional session ale. A beer long appreciated in the East Midlands, Beacon Bitter is now deservedly extending its reputation to a wider audience.

A distinctively darker bitter brewed with malt made from Maris Otter barley and the careful addition of Amber malt, to give a nutty flavour that supports a subtle blend of English aromatic hops.

There are also two other guest ales on tap at any one time, drawn from a number of different brewers.
Brysons Brewery, which is a Lancaster based brewery, is an example of a local brewery which supplies guest ales to the George and Dragon. Its regular beers can be seen here.
