The George and Dragon is situated in the historic village of
Wray, in the beautiful Lune Valley.
The village of Wray is well known for its attractive buildings
and history, and its beautiful location at the junction of the Roeburn
and Hindburn rivers in the Lune Valley. The surrounding countryside is a very popular area for walkers. The Wray
Scarecrow Festival is held in May each year.
The pub has regular social and fundraising events, fine food, and
an excellent selection of cask conditioned ales, lagers, guinness
and wines. There is a large, attractive beer garden for the warmer
months with an aviary for bird lovers.
The George and Dragon is a genuine village local with great food.
There are two bar areas, welcoming fires for cold weather and a
separate dining room. There are pub games available and a regular
quiz night on Wednesday.
The pub is Wi Fi enabled for broadband for people who want to have a good
lunch or a relaxed meeting, but stay in touch with the office via their
laptops or internet enabled personal organisers - no connection charge.
"Superb
