Fund Raising
Our major fundraiser is the sale of mini scarecrows. These are hand made by us and each one is individual. Every year we make 400 scarecrows to sell during Wray Scarecrow Festival (26th April- 5th May 2008). Manufacture of these starts in Autumn Term with the making of clothes, hats, accessories, etc. These are then assembled in March by a continuous production line of mothers and fathers working 12 hours a day for about a week. It’s hard work but is very sociable – we love it!!!

Mini scarecrows are on sale during the Festival opposite the Institute for just £4 each.
The second major fundraiser is the sale of calendars. These
are computer generated and incorporate a drawing by every child at Wray School
and Pre-School. The date area of these incorporates important dates associated with Wray and
there is plenty of space to write in your own appointments, etc.
