IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OUTINGS Photo Gallery One of the most successful outings was that to the Lake District last year when we went by coach to the Haverthwaite Railway to take the train to Lakeside where we boarded a boat and sailed the whole length of Windermere. A visit to Brockholes Visitors Centre completed an excellent day. The weather was glorious and the sun very hot. Some members cooled their feet in the Lake.
We have a Christmas party which is provided by the Institute Ladies and this is a wonderful evening as the photographs below show. Our yearly Coffee Morning always proves to be a social event which is supported by other members of the village as well as our ‘Over Sixties’ and their friends. It was changed from October to August last and this proved to be more successful. It is to be held this year on Saturday, 2nd August, in Wray Institute from 10 am to 12 noon. We hope the weather will be kind to us again this year. Everyone is welcome. There will be a raffle and bring and buy stall and plenty of opportunity to catch up on the local news. |
