The Process So Far
To take the process of preparing a parish plan forward a steering group of volunteers was formed in December 2004. The group decided that for any plan to accurately represent the views of the Parish it would be necessary to conduct a survey. In April/May 2005 all households received a questionnaire asking their opinions on a range of issues affecting the Parish. Households were also given the opportunity to add additional comments on any issues they felt not adequately covered. The results were analysed by a local company – Teleconomy. The results can be found on the results page of this website. The outcomes were presented to the Parish at 2 open days held in the Village Institute in June. The steering group are now in the process of writing up the results in a format suitable for a Parish Plan and investigating supplementary planning document status. Part of this process could include a draft issues and options paper as a basis for further consultation with the Parish and relevant outside bodies.
