We are all crossing our fingers as it appears the projector is OK again following a mini service. We plan to get a back up for the next film just in case though ! Sorry we didn't have a film in April. We couldn't get confirimation of
title availability before Wrayly mail deadlines etc.
Anyway, we have got the Kite Runner which was a special request from
a number of our regulars.
The Film covers the story of two boys who grow up together in the
same household in Afghanistan. One is born to a life of luxury whilst
the other has much more limited horizons. The film covers their
changing lives as the Taliban gain power, and as they grow into young
men.
The story covers the bonds of friendship, duty, loyalty of family ties
and the the difficulties of emigrants adapting to their new home
country.
